At the Chairman’s discretion residents are invited to give their views and question the Parish Council on issues on this Agenda, or raise issues for future consideration. Members of the public may not take part in the Parish Council Meeting. There will be no discussion by members of the Council during this session but the views expressed may be considered later as part of particular agenda items. During this period, in accordance with the revised Code of Conduct, members of the Council who have a disclosable interest (but not a disclosable pecuniary interest) in an item on the Agenda may also make representations, answer questions, or give evidence relating to that item.

8. Playing Field:
Inspections –
a) To receive a report from the Clerk on Playing Field Inspections – in agenda pack
b) To note Clerk has ordered the annual play equipment inspection.
9. Working Groups Update:
a) Christmas Tree Switch On – this to be forwarded once meeting has taken place on 11th
b) A Nation’s Tribute – update in agenda pack
c) Communications – update in agenda pack
d) NDP –to be sent separately
e) Streetlights – to note Clerk has requested updated quotes to replace remaining sodium
bulbs to LEDs.
f) Staffing – to receive updated Grievance & Disciplinary Policies
10. Highways :
a) To note Lengthsman’s jobs issued from last Council meeting; comment on progress
b) To consider future tasks to be issued to the Lengthsman
11. Allotments:
a) To note works have been carried out at the allotments
b) To consider leasing an allotment plot to the Scouts on a reduced/no fee basis
12. Community :
a) To consider draft covenant from Cllr Gordon (in agenda pack).
b) To receive updated report from Memorial Hall Committee re Memorial Garden.
c) To note all Purchase Orders regarding the Memorial Garden have been cancelled and
d) invoices redirected to the Memorial Hall Committee.
To consider response from John Crossling re bus shelter risk assessment & way forward.
e) To consider grant applications from Salford Priors Brownies & Guides units
f) To receive TOPS Accounts 2018 & Chairman & Treasurer’s Report 2018
13. Rights of Way :
a) To receive report from Cllr Penn on the Public Rights of Way within the Parish
b) To discuss the way forward with the modern, clear version of the PROW (with agenda
pack) as per minute number 171d from February 2018 meeting.
14. Matters raised by Councillors:
Matters raised by Councillors are considered under this item. Councillors are also invited to use
this opportunity to report minor matters of information not included elsewhere on the agenda
and to raise items for future agendas. (At the discretion of the Chairman Councillors may raise
items at the meeting if considered necessary and urgent).

a) To consider request from Memorial Hall Committee for a further donation for the

17. Finance : General (Pink Papers)
a) To consider the provision of Parish Council wreath for Royal British Legion Service of
Remembrance at St Matthew’s Church on Sunday 11th November 2018.

  1. To consider a further quote for new website.
  1. To note the temporary band upgrade from band 2 to band 3 for the finance package, which will allow income up to £150k for 2018/19.
  1. To consider and approve the second quarterly bank reconciliation, account balances and income and expenditure budgets.
  2. Consideration and approval of the payments and transfers listed in Appendix A
  1. To agree 2 Councillor Signatories to sign the cheques/BACS remittances for payments listed in Appendix A
