New Street lighting on School Road, Salford Priors

As part of the planning consent for 60 dwellings on the land off School Road (Priors Crescent) highway improvement works, ie traffic calming measures, were required to be installed on School Road.

All physical features, such as speed pillows, speed humps, build outs, placed in the highway require lighting because they present, in some way, an obstruction to  drivers. Also if the speed limit is above 20mph street lighting must be provided on traffic calming measures.

The installation of street lighting is the start of installing the traffic calming measures which it is hoped will be completed very

shortly.
