Salford Priors Royal British Legion
Apart from a short break in the 1940s there has been an active Branch of the British Legion in Salford Priors since 1926. The main activity of the Branch throughout this time has been to raise money for the poppy appeal.
The activities of the Branch are designed to bring to the notice of the people of Salford Priors the continuing and vital work of the Royal British Legion in giving support to ex-servicemen and service-women who have suffered injury and/or hardship as a result of their service to the Armed Forces. The Branch expresses this support by bringing these issues to notice in a social context through Coffee Mornings, Displays at the Village Fete, Away Days, and of course, the Poppy Appeal.

Bidford and District History Society
Since its September 2006 launch, Bidford and District History Society has enjoyed a thriving membership with meeting venues packed. The Society draws members from Salford Priors, Bidford, Cleeve Prior parishes and neighbouring towns. The aim of the society is to entertain and inform people who have curious minds about interesting historical subjects.
Members enjoy guest speakers, outings and projects based on historical topics. Some meetings focus on very local issues while others consider the impact of national issues on this area (such as men going off to war). Some meetings consider domestic topics such as families owning pigs or the medieval Christmas. There is a real diversity of subjects.
