Annual Audit Reports
Each year, the Council prepares an accounting statement that undergoes an external audit. This statement provides a summary of the Council’s income and expenditure for the financial year and includes reports from the internal auditor.
In accordance with Section 6 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, Salford Priors Parish Council, classified as a smaller authority (with gross income or expenditure exceeding £25,000), is required to complete Part 3 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR).
The AGAR allows electors and local taxpayers to review the Council’s financial statements and governance practices before submission to the appointed external auditor for approval. A notice informing the public of their right to inspect these documents will be published annually, following statutory deadlines and requirements.
