You are hereby summoned to attend a Planning Meeting of the Salford Priors Parish Council to be held at the Eddie Clarke Suite, Salford Priors Memorial Hall on Monday 22nd September at 7.00pm for the purpose of transacting the following business only.

1. To Consider & Accept Apologies:
2. To receive declaration of Interest on Items on the Agenda

a)          All members of the Council are respectfully reminded that in order to comply with the Code of Conduct adopted by the Parish Council on 16th March 2022, effective from 1st May 2022, if any matter arises during the meeting in which they have declared an Interest, which could be personal or prejudicial, they should declare so and leave the room.

b)     Written requests for Dispensations for DPI should be received by the Clerk no more than 24 hours prior to the meeting. Dispensations will be granted as appropriate.

3. Public Contributions and Questions:

A 15-minute session for parishioners to raise matters, individual contributions should be kept under 5 minutes. The Public may participate with the Council’s consent, please email the Clerk with any contributions relevant to items on the agenda prior to the meeting.

4. Minutes:

To approve the Minutes dated Tuesday 13th August 2025 in the Eddie Clarke Suite, Salford Priors Memorial Hall.

5. To consider the following planning:

a)          25/01803/FUL Proposed : Demolition of rear conservatory and front vestibule. Construction of two-storey side and single-storey rear extensions at Sorrel Cottage, Bevington, Salford Priors, Evesham WR11 8SJ

b)          25/02189/TREE Proposed : H1 conifer hedge – top to be trimmed T2 European plum tree – reduce by 2-2.5 metres and reshape at Eyston Cottage, Abbots Salford, Evesham, WR11 8UT

c)          25/02241/AMD – Non Material Amendment at Land West Of Evesham Road Salford Priors WR11 8UR. Non-material amendment to planning permission ref. 24/00614/VARY (dated 16/08/2024) to amend the plot passports for plots 1 and 7 only

Minutes of a Planning Committee Meeting of the Parish Council held

At the Eddie Clarke Suite Salford Priors Memorial Hall on Monday 22nd September 2025 at

7:00pm

Present:  Councillors: K James (Chairman), R Green, J Meakins, M Howarth, D Price & A Richardson

Also in attendance: 0 members of the public.

1.            Apologies considered and accepted for absence:

Donna Bowles, Clerk to the Parish Council

2.            Register of Interests: Members were reminded of the need to declare an interest in any applications and leave the room if necessary.

Dispensations – none received

Members were also reminded of the need to declare predetermination on any matter.

3.            Public Contribution & Questions:

No members of the public were in attendance.

4.            Acceptance of Minutes:

The Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on Wednesday 13th August 2025 at the Eddie Clarke Suite, Salford Priors, were agreed by the Committee to be a true record of the meeting and signed by the Chairman.

5.            Planning Matters:

Applications Considered:

a)          25/01803/FUL Proposed: Demolition of rear conservatory and front vestibule, Construction of two storey side and single-storey rear extensions at Sorrel Cottage, Bevington Salford Priors WR11 8SJ.
Following discussion the committee resolved to support the application. Members considered the proposed extensions to be in keeping with the size, scale, and character of the existing dwelling and the surrounding area. The design and form of the development were judged to be sympathetic to the host property and the rural setting. The application is consistent with the design principles of the Salford Seven Neighbourhood Development Plan (SP7) and Stratford-on-Avon District Council Core Strategy Policy CS.9 (Design and Distinctiveness).

b)         25/02189/TREE Proposed: H1 Conifer hedge – top trimmed T2 European plum tree – reduce by 2-2.5 metres and reshape at Eyston Cottage Abbots Salford WR11 8UT Following consideration Clerk to respond with “No objection – considered routine maintenance works”.

c)          25/02241/AMD Proposed: Land West of Evesham Road Salford Priors Non-material amendment to planning permission ref: 24/00614/VARY to amend plot passports for plots 1 & 7 only, Noted LPA Officer delegated decision.

d)         25/01858/FUL Proposed: 20 School Road Salford Priors, Two storey rear, single storey rear side and front extensions. Loft conversion and associated works with drop kerb. Following discussion the committee resolved to support the application. Members considered the proposed extensions to be in keeping with the size, scale, and character of the existing dwelling. The design and proposed materials were seen as sympathetic to the surrounding area, and the works are expected to greatly enhance the property’s appearance and functionality.

e)         25/01960/FUL Proposed: Tanglewood Broom Lane Dunnington. Erection of replacement single storey rear extension, first floor side extension detached car port, outbuilding, store, and associated works.. Following discussion, the committee resolved to support the application.
Members considered the proposal to be of good design, appropriate size and scale, and in keeping with the character of the existing property and surrounding area. The application is consistent with the design principles of the Salford Seven Neighbourhood Development Plan (SP7) and Stratford-on-Avon District Council Core Strategy Policy CS.9 (Design and Distinctiveness).

6.            Closure of Meeting:  The Chairman closed the meeting at 19:20 hrs
