The Parish Council has unanimously resolved that the decisions previously made regarding the Parish Christmas Tree and the newly commissioned village sign will stand. Specifically:
- The Christmas Tree will be positioned on the Public Open Space (Village Green) following its adoption.
- The newly commissioned village sign will be erected on the triangle at the junction of Evesham Road and Station Road.
The Council’s decisions aim to reflect the interests of the majority of residents. While the Council values and encourages public participation, it operates based on decisions made through elected governance. To ensure fairness and consistency, the implementation of Council decisions remains a priority.
The decision to re-position the Parish Council’s Christmas Tree to the Village Green (POS) was intended to take effect from the first Christmas following the adoption of the Public Open Space, provided that all of the necessary infrastructure was in place.
These decisions align with the Council’s longstanding policy, as established in the Neighbourhood Development Plan (Adopted 2016), that the Village Green would serve as a unifying focal point for the community
